Meet the Author
Misty Sims holds a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. Throughout her career, she has worked in a variety of helping professions, including serving as a counselor in a juvenile detention center, providing support in a psychiatric treatment setting, and working as a social worker with Child Protective Services.
After becoming a mother, Misty chose to dedicate her time to raising her family and has enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom in Greenville, South Carolina. She lives there with her husband, Mike, and their two children, Asa and Vivian.
Misty wanted to provide a resource to people who feel like they fall desperately short and imperfect - They want a deeper relationship with God but just don’t know where to start.
She is grateful for the encouragement and support of her family throughout the writing process. She would also like to extend a special thank-you to Jennifer Watkins for her invaluable assistance in editing this book.
